The CEI in the ALSO Project: a Photo Competition to promote Lisbon Strategy

In the framework of its participation in the INTERACT Project ALSO (Achievements of Lisbon and Gothenburg Strategy Objectives by INTERREG, www.alsoproject.eu), the CEI – Central European Initiative is please to announce the Photo Competition and Exhibition organised within the INTERACT Project ALSO (Achievement of Lisbon and Gothenburg Strategy Objectives by INTERREG) in which the CEI is involved as a partner.

The Photo Competition and Exhibition is devoted to the Lisbon Strategy adopted in March 2000, aiming at making the European Union the most dynamic and competitive economy in the world by 2010. This Strategy involves a whole set of policy areas, from research and education to environment and employment. In particular, the focus of the Photo Competition is “Europe based on Innovation and Knowledge”.

All citizens from the 27 EU Member States are invited to submit their pictures within 12th September 2007. The candidate photos must be original and related to competition theme and/or the Lisbon priorities. 50 photos will be selected by the ALSO Project Consortium and exhibited during the first day of the Final Conference of the ALSO Project, to be organised in Osimo (Italy) on 4-5 October 2007 (online registration available on the link: http://www.alsoproject.eu/finalevent/). The two best pictures will be awarded a special prize by the ALSO Lead Partner, the Marche Region, on the occasion of a ceremony held in the Presence of Ms Emma Bonino, Italian Ministry of European Policies.
